Kyaraben (キャラ弁) is short for "character bento"—a beloved style of homemade lunch box where rice, egg, and vegetables are turned into adorable animal faces or pop-culture-inspired designs. Originally created by parents for their children, Kyaraben has become an iconic part of Japanese food culture that blends love, creativity, and everyday aesthetics.
