Arrival in Madrid, pickup of the SUV 4X4 car, and drive to Zaragoza, the capital of the ancient kingdom of Aragon - a fascinating city on the riverbank—we will explore the old city, the city’s grand cathedrals, the Roman theatre, and the covered market.
Drive north toward the Pyrenees range, arriving at the ancient town of Aínsa, where you can explore within the historic walls, visit the Pyrenees Flora and Fauna Museum, and enjoy views of the Cinca River. Continue on an off-road trail to the vast Añisclo Canyon, taking a paved mountain route through one of the most beautiful canyons in the Pyrenees, and enjoy a walking tour to the gushing waterfalls. End the day in the town of Escalona, nestled at the foot of the immense cliffs of the Pyrenees.
Start with an off-road trail to the Col de Sahún mountain pass, continuing through one of the highest routes in the Pyrenees toward the stunning Benasque Valley, and then on to the magical Val d’Aran. Visit the "Fish Waterfall" by walking along a well-maintained path, and then take a scenic off-road trail near the French-Spanish border.
Drive through the villages of the unique Aran Valley, then continue via an off-road trail toward the French border to the remote and deserted village of Montgarri, known for its moving story. Walk through the magical village of Bagergue, a beautiful and well-kept place where you can visit a local dairy if open. Continue along a mountainous route by the river, eventually arriving at the stunning Pallaresa Valley for an overnight stay.
Enjoy a thrilling rafting experience on the Noguera Pallaresa River—get equipped with a neoprene suit and safety gear. After the rafting you’ll get the chance to take a hot shower, so bring a towel with you. Afterwards, take a scenic off-road trail along historic smugglers' routes, crossing streams and following paths once used en route to Andorra, with a stop at the Santa Magdalena Church. Return to the beautiful Pallaresa Valley.
Start the day with a hike in Aigüestortes National Park, renowned for its "twisting waters," and spend the afternoon exploring the area on an off-road route. Begin in the town of Espot, the main gateway to the park. Continue along one of the most beautiful off-road trails in the Pyrenees, with the option to hike to gushing waterfalls within the stunning landscape of Aigüestortes National Park.
Bid farewell to the high Pyrenees and drive toward the Mid-Pyrenees Ridge, taking an off-road route through the lower mountains to Lake Mont-rebei and its impressive dam, with scenic viewpoints and artificial lakes along the way. Conclude the journey with a return to Zaragoza and enjoy an evening walking tour of Zaragoza’s Old City.
