The Cube Houses are arguably the most distinctive homes in the Netherlands. These bright yellow, tilted blocks have been attracting the attention of architecture enthusiasts, tourists, and photographers from around the world since the 1980s. "De Hef" is one of Rotterdam's most famous industrial icons and is officially known as the Koningshaven Bridge. Opened in 1927, this impressive steel railway bridge was a technical marvel at the time. It was the first vertical-lift bridge in Western Europe and played a vital role for years in the rail connection between Rotterdam-South and the city center.
The Erasmus Bridge is the most famous symbol of modern Rotterdam and connects the city center with the Kop van Zuid. Opened in 1996, the bridge—thanks to its elegant design—quickly became the definitive icon of the Rotterdam skyline.
The Euromast is one of Rotterdam's most famous icons and, at 185 meters, the tallest publicly accessible observation tower in the Netherlands. The tower was built for the 1960 Floriade and designed by architect Hugh Maaskant.
