Depending on your arrival time, a personalized safari briefing will be held today or early tomorrow. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps with a spa treatment, a swim, or a gourmet dinner as you begin your journey in style.
After a leisurely breakfast at your lodge, your private safari officially begins with a detailed briefing from your expert driver-guide. You’ll then set off on a scenic two-hour drive (approx. 120 km) westward to Lake Manyara National Park. Along the way, enjoy glimpses of everyday Tanzanian life, with possible sightings of Maasai herders and rural villages. Upon arrival, enjoy a gourmet lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive through this lush, wildlife-rich park, known for its tree-climbing lions, elephants, and abundant birdlife, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the shimmering soda lake. As the sun sets, drive to your accommodation in Karatu where you will check in at the beautifully Karatu Tloma Lodge, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views, fine dining, and a restful overnight stay in luxury.
After breakfast, depart Lake Manyara and journey northwest to the legendary Serengeti National Park a scenic drive of approximately four hours (205 km). Along the way, engage with your expert driver-guide, gaining fascinating insights into Tanzanian culture, wildlife, and landscapes. As you enter the Serengeti, prepare to be captivated by its endless golden plains and breathtaking wilderness. Today’s highlight is the sheer scale and beauty of the Serengeti itself a first glimpse that leaves a lasting impression. Arrive at your Camp perched on a ridge with sweeping views and iconic acacia trees. Check in, relax, and enjoy the serenity before a gourmet dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the fantastic sounds of the wild.
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, soaking in the last moments of this iconic landscape and its abundant wildlife. After a leisurely bush breakfast and lunch, you’ll journey southeast to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a scenic 3.5-hour drive (approx. 145 km). In the late afternoon drive to your lodge in Karatu, settle in where panoramic views over the caldera create an unforgettable setting. Enjoy a sundowner with sweeping vistas, followed by a delightful dinner as you prepare for tomorrow’s descent into the 600m deep Ngorongoro Crater.
After an early breakfast at your lodge in Karatu, you’ll depart around 7:30 AM and drive south toward Tarangire National Park, a journey of about 3–4 hours. Upon arrival, you’ll enter the park and begin a full-day game drive, exploring its vast landscapes known for ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, and antelopes. Around midday, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park. The afternoon continues with more wildlife viewing along the Tarangire River, which attracts animals year-round. In the late afternoon, you’ll exit the park and head to your lodge or campsite near Tarangire for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast from your Camp, you'll head into the park for a final morning game drive, enjoying the last views of wildlife such as elephants, zebras, and various bird species around the Tarangire River. Around late morning, you'll begin your drive back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro Airport, with a stop for lunch en route, depending on your flight schedule. You'll arrive at the airport in the afternoon or early evening for your departure, marking the end of your safari adventure.
