We will pick you up at the meeting point being Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport, as you land head direct to the arrival hall, our driver will be waiting for travelers with a sign of their name on hand.
Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, our guide—dressed in full Herbivore African Expeditions uniform—will greet you with a warm smile. Look for your name on a sign and our logo on his shirt. He’ll assist with luggage and escort you to your accommodation.
Your safari adventure begins with a morning pick-up from Arusha (or Kilimanjaro airport) and a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, famed for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. On your first game drive, expect to see zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and perhaps elusive leopards. After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue exploring before checking in at your midrange tented lodge, where you’ll enjoy sunset views, a freshly cooked dinner, and your first night in the African bush.
After breakfast, drive toward the lush Ngorongoro Highlands for a Crater tour. The Crater is home for African Big five animals including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and on a luck day you may encounter the black rhinos. Enjoy your delightful lunch by the hippo pool and later on ascend from the Crater and drive to Ndutu the Northern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, upon arrival at your lodge in Ndutu, relax over dinner with cool highland air preparing you for the next day’s adventure.
Spend a full day in the Ndutu plains, the heart of the wildebeest calving grounds. December through March is peak birthing season, with over 8,000 calves born daily during the peak — attracting intense predator action from lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. You’ll explore off-road in areas permitted in Ndutu, allowing for up-close encounters. Expect thrilling predator-prey interactions, massive herds of wildebeest and zebra, and rich birdlife. Enjoy lunch in the bush and return to camp for storytelling by the campfire and dinner under the stars.

This region is rich with wildlife year-round and offers great chances to see resident big cats, especially leopards along the Seronera River. Stop for a picnic lunch and continue with an afternoon game drive before arriving at your midrange tented camp. Watch the sun dip behind acacia trees as you dine in the wilderness and listen to the distant calls of hyenas and lions.

After breakfast at the camp, you’ll board a scheduled flight to Arusha (price inclusive).Upon arrival in Arusha, you'll be dropped at Arusha Airport if you are extending your adventure to Zanzibar or else you will be transferred by car to the Kilimanjaro International Airport depending on your onward travel plans.
