Sip & Snack: A Sake Tasting with Local Flavors

1 hour 15 minutes (approximately)
Offered in: Japanese and 1 more

Experience the “Now” of Japanese Sake — Something You Won’t Find in a Guidebook

Join a hands-on sake tour led by a current sake shop staff member who has tasted over 2,000 kinds of sake and helps customers find the perfect match every day.

Held in Ōfuna, a peaceful local town just five minutes from Kamakura, this experience offers a relaxed setting to discover sake away from tourist crowds.

Taste five carefully selected types of sake — first chilled, then warm — and explore how temperature transforms flavor. Pair them with traditional snacks, watch a dramatic mokkiri pouring demo, and try pouring sake to the brim without spilling.

This is not a lecture, but an interactive and beginner-friendly experience designed to help you find your personal favorite — through taste, touch, and fun.

By the end of the tour, you’ll be able to confidently serve sake to your friends back home — and share not just the drink, but the story behind it.
