This experience is part walking tour, part tasting lab, and part playful discovery. Guests will move through Pike Place Market with an expert host, stopping along the way to sample carefully selected foods that illustrate key flavor principles used by chefs and sommeliers. Rather than simply tasting wine and food side by side, guests are guided through a progressive flavor journey—learning how sweetness, acidity, salt, fat, herbs, and sour elements affect the palate and transform how wine is perceived. The experience culminates at White Heron Cellars’ tasting room, where guests apply what they’ve learned in a unique, interactive wine tasting overlooking Puget Sound. Using lighthearted prompts, challenges, and sensory cues, guests participate in a gamified flavor experiment that deepens understanding while keeping the experience fun, social, and memorable.
