Your tour guide will pick you up from Tirana / Durrës or Golem, and on the way you’ll hear fun stories and cool facts about Albania. We’ll also take a short break to grab a coffee, stretch our legs, and use the restroom before we hit the road again.
Ardenica Monastery is a beautiful 13th-century Orthodox complex perched on a hill with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. It is famous for its well-preserved frescoes, wooden iconostasis, and peaceful atmosphere that reflects centuries of spiritual history. During this short 20-minute stop, you’ll have time to explore the courtyard, admire the architecture, and enjoy the serene setting before continuing the journey.
Than we stop in Gjirokastra—one of Albania’s most stunning historic towns and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its stone houses and Ottoman-style charm, it feels like stepping back in time. We’ll wander through the old bazaar together, full of colorful shops, handmade crafts, and plenty of photo-worthy corners
After the guided walk, you’ll have some free time to explore on your own—shop for souvenirs, stroll the cobbled streets, grab lunch, or check out a museum if you’d like. IMPORTANT: During November - April most of the museums are closed on Monday including the castle.
Finally, we’ll make our way back to Tirana/ Durrës or Golem, wrapping up a day full of history, culture, and natural beauty.
