Painting Porto Azulejo Tile at Ceramic Studio

Your experience begins at the art studio in Porto. After a short introduction, you’ll learn about the history of Portuguese azulejos, their traditional patterns, and how they are used in local architecture. Next, you’ll be guided through the tile painting process using traditional ceramic glazing techniques. You’ll receive your own ceramic tile and be introduced to the materials and tools. You can choose to follow a traditional design or create your own. Stencils are available, making the process accessible and enjoyable for everyone. During the workshop, you’ll work at your own pace with guidance and support, allowing you to fully enjoy the creative process in a relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the session, your finished tile will stay in the studio to be kiln-fired, giving it a durable and glossy finish typical of traditional Portuguese tiles. Your piece will be ready for pickup after approximately five business days. If you are traveling, shipping can be arranged (for additional cost). This is an indoor activity with all materials provided. No prior experience is needed, and the workshop is designed to be safe, comfortable, and suitable for all skill levels.
