    Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

    Mikumi National Park

    Begin your adventure with an early morning 07:00 am ferry from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam, arriving around 09:30 am. From there, board the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) for a scenic 1.5-hour ride to Morogoro. Your driver will pick you up and transfer you by private van directly to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch, relax, and check in at your lodge. In the late afternoon (around 5:00 pm), experience the Masai Bandas cultural visit before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

    Mikumi National Park

    After an early breakfast, set off for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes of savannah and acacia woodland, home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, and a variety of antelopes. With a bit of luck, you may also spot lions, leopards, and African wild dogs. Break for a picnic lunch inside the park, surrounded by nature, then continue your safari until late afternoon. Return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

    Mikumi – Zanzibar (Flight or Alternative Transfer)

    Wake up early and enjoy a light breakfast at the lodge. After check-out, transfer to Mkata Airstrip for your scheduled 08:00 am flight back to Zanzibar, arriving mid-morning. In case the flight is unavailable or missed, you will return via the same route as Day 1: transfer to Morogoro, board the SGR train to Dar es Salaam, and take the afternoon ferry back to Zanzibar.
