Your first experience is a fully guided visit to the Kawiti Glowworm Caves. Enter the underground world of the cave system and discover thousands of tiny glowworms illuminating the darkness above you. Your Māori guide will share stories, knowledge and insights into the caves and the surrounding area.
The Hundertwasser Public Toilets are a world-famous, functional art installation and public restroom located in the small town of Kawakawa, New Zealand. Opened in 1999, they were the final lifetime project and the only Southern Hemisphere structure designed by the eccentric Austrian artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
After Kawakawa, continue through the Northland landscape to Puketi Kauri Forest, one of New Zealand's significant remaining kauri forests.
