Using the Cincinnati Streetcar loop as a route, this tour will take you by nearly every major attraction in Downtown Cincinnati, with stops at top attractions, including Fountain Square and Findlay Market. However, this is not a typical 'general history of the city through time and here are the top attractions and cultural experiences' tour. This tour is focused on transit and infrastructure, given by a local aware of and involved in transportation and infrastructure projects in the city. Highlighting the city's greatest infrastructure accomplishments, as well it's biggest failures, this tour will focus on the Riverfront Transit Center, Cincinnati Subway, Cincinnati Union Terminal, as well as Kenyon-Barr (urban renewal), and Highway Construction and Expansion. I will also share some of the plans for future projects. Tours are guided by myself, Fenley, an Urban Planning student at the University of Cincinnati.
Meet on the south side of the building in front of the entrance.
Meeting in the banks, I will give a brief history of Cincinnati, and we'll see the Roebling Suspension Bridge from afar.
See from afar.
Will stop for a few minutes for anyone who wishes to get a picture near the entranceway.
We'll stop to talk about the many efforts to bring transit back to Cincinnati, including the Riverfront Transit Center, given the moniker 'Cincinnati's Second Abandoned Subway'. In the off chance the doors are unlocked, we'll go inside.

We will talk about highway construction and expansion in Cincinnati, and Kenyon-Barr, the project which demolished nearly half of the city in the 1960's.
We will see this prime example of extravagant Art Deco Architecture from a nearby vantage point, then we will pass through the lobby of the Hilton Netherland Plaza, and walk through the dead Carew Shopping Arcade urban mall.
We'll stop in Fountain Square, the heart of Downtown Cincinnati, and see the Tyler Davidson fountain.
We'll pass through Cincinnati's central bus 'station', talking about some of it's current challenges.
See from afar.
We'll stop for a minute to rest before continuing with our tour.
We'll see Cincinnati's tallest skyscraper from a nearby vantage point.
We'll talk about the history of Heritage Bank Center and current plans involving it.
We'll get off the streetcar at this stop, and learn about it's history. Throughout our tour, we'll ride about 2/3 of the Cincinnati Streetcar Loop, and directions are provided at the end of the tour to complete the loop and bring you back to the tour start point.
We'll stop in Washington Park, for restrooms and water if needed.

From the median of Central Parkway near Ezzard Charles Drive, we'll look at pictures and learn about the history of Cincinnati's abandoned subway, the largest abandoned subway in the world, where it lay underneath our feet.
We'll see the iconic Cincinnati Union Terminal, the last great passenger train station built in the country, if not the world, from a distance, a spot outside Robert A. Taft High School. We'll look at pictures and learn about it's construction, use, near demolition, and renovation. To be clear, we do not actually go to the Terminal, as it would take far too much time.
We'll end our tour at Findlay Market, a focal point of Over-the-Rhine, a revitalized neighborhood. Many food options are nearby for your convenience when our tour ends.
