Day 2
Antsirabe

Lac Tritriva
Day dedicated to discovering the surroundings and the artisans that make Antsirabe famous. Aboard a rickshaw, the city’s iconic means of transport, meet the locals and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the colourful alleyways. A stop at the Asabotsy Point of Sale, one of Madagascar’s largest and liveliest, will allow you to explore stalls full of local products, crafts and spices with mesmerizing scents. The route continues to Independence Square, where there is a monument offering breathtaking views of the Inn of Thermal Baths and the old train station, witnesses of the city’s colonial past. For nature lovers and hikers, an excursion around Lake Tritriva is offered. This deep blue volcanic lake, surrounded by wooded cliffs, is full of legends and offers a spectacular setting for a rejuvenating ride. Back to the city and overnight at the Inn.

First day of total immersion in the Betsileo countryside, east of Fianarantsoa, for an authentic experience surrounded by nature. We start our adventure with a hike through rural landscapes, between rice fields, green hills and small traditional villages. Fianarantsoa (Betsileo Village Immersion)

Second day, after a large breakfast in the middle of nature, we continue our adventure with a walk to the Sacred Mount. Depending on the desire, we can explore Ankarinoro or Ambohipo, hills full of history and spirituality, symbols of the customs and customs of the Betsileo. These sacred sites offer breathtaking views of the region and immerse us in local beliefs and traditions. At the end of the day, we meet our vehicles to resume the road to Fianarantsoa. Head south towards Manakara, a small coastal town set between the Indian Ocean and the mythical Pangalanes Canal, a real ribbon of water winding between villages, rice fields and tropical forests. Along the way, the road unveils an authentic Madagascar, between vanilla plantations, coconut groves and remote hamlets where daily life lives to the rhythm of nature. Manakara | Vangaindrano

The adventure continues to the extreme south-east of Madagascar, towards Vangaindrano, along wild tracks lined with tropical plantations, green rice fields and small villages out of time. On the way, the landscapes roll by, revealing lush nature and authentic rural life scenes. Arrival in Vangaindrano in the afternoon, where a relaxing break is planned before leaving for a 4h excursion to discover the Andregnabo waterfall and Agnakatrika Nature Reserve. This moment in nature is an opportunity to dive into a rich and preserved ecosystem. The evening continues with a cultural activity at FARAY, mixing songs, dances and local traditions.

Vangaindrano (Village Immersion Antesaka)

The next day, head to Ampatsinakoho for a day trip at the pace of the fishermen. After a short drive, you reach this remote coastal village, nestled between wild beach and rainforest. Here, no seaside resorts or postcards frozen: only the raw authenticity of a coastline preserved, beaten by winds and watched by filaos. You will share the daily lives of fishermen: netting, canoe trips to sea, the harvest of the day, and stories from the elders. Far from all the turmoil, this moment is a real human and social immersion.
