Travelling along the scenic Arusha–Dodoma highway, you’ll pass through the picturesque Maasai Steppe on your way to Tarangire National Park. If needed, we’ll make a brief stop at a local supermarket for any last-minute personal items. After approximately two hours, you’ll arrive at Tarangire, where your driver-guide will handle park registration while you stretch your legs. You’ll then embark on your first game drive through Tarangire’s iconic landscapes, known for its towering baobab trees and impressive elephant herds. After an early breakfast, you’ll depart Tarangire and begin a scenic journey across the floor of the Great Rift Valley, ascending the escarpment and traversing the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you’ll have the option to stop at a Maasai village or a panoramic viewpoint for cultural insight and photo opportunities. Lunch will be served at one of the designated picnic sites, most likely at Naabi Hill Gate—the official entry point to Serengeti National Park. Full Day at Serengeti National Park

    Serengeti National Park

Rise early for a sunrise game drive—one of the best times to witness the Serengeti come alive. As the morning mist lifts, you may catch rare nocturnal species returning to rest and observe diurnal animals beginning their day. Many animals gather near roadside clearings to escape the dew. After breakfast back at camp, you'll spend the full day exploring the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai word Siringit, meaning “endless plains”—and true to its name, the landscape stretches as far as the eye can see. Your guide will help you track wildlife across different habitats, from open savannah to rocky outcrops and riverbanks. Expect to encounter wildebeests, elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, elands, and—if luck is on your side—the elusive leopard. The park is also a haven for bird lovers, with a mix of resident and migratory species. Overnight Africa Safari lodge or Serengeti Green Hills Camp for dinner and overnight. All meals are included.
