What to expect

Svolværgeita (also known as "The Goat") is an iconic granite tower rising above the town of Svolvær, at the heart of Norway’s spectacular Lofoten Islands. The climb is a true highlight of any trip to Lofoten and an unforgettable chance to experience real vertical adventure in one of Norway’s most breathtaking landscapes.

This is as a half-day climbing adventure, perfect for those looking to experience vertical exposure and panoramic views in a short timeframe.

We’ll begin with a 45-minute hike from the parking lot, crossing through typical Arctic mountain terrain. Once at the base of the wall, your certified guide will provide a detailed briefing, gear you up, and go over all safety procedures.
Although the route is steep and physically demanding, no previous climbing experience is required—just a good fitness level.

You’ll be secured with ropes and safety gear at all times, and your guide will assist with tips and encouragement.

Total duration of the trip: 3 to 5 hours.
All climbing equipment is included
Small groups to ensure personal attention: Maximum of 4 participants
Minimum age: 15 years old.
Non suitable for people afraid of heights, or with altitude sickness.
