Begin your journey at the famous Nakhal Fort, a striking 350-year-old fortress set at the foothills of the mountains, surrounded by lush date palm plantations. Rising dramatically from solid rock, the fort overlooks a peaceful village and reflects Oman’s rich history and defensive architecture.
Continue through the old village of Nakhal to its natural hot springs, where a small green wadi flows with warm mineral water.
The journey then leads to Wadi Bani Awf, renowned for offering some of the best off-road driving adventures in Oman. The route winds through rugged terrain, dramatic cliffs, and deep canyons, revealing breathtaking landscapes at every turn. Along the way, you’ll pass remote villages before reaching Bilad Sayt, a picturesque mountain village nestled among terraced fields and surrounded by stunning natural scenery—truly a must-visit destination in Oman.

1Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
At approximately 8:30 AM, we will take you through the gorgeous city of Muscat where we will first visit the Grand Mosque which, among a couple others, is one of the biggest 1-piece handmade Iranian carpet in the world.

2Nakhal Fort
Then after we drive to Famous Nakhal Fort, it lies at the foothills of the mountains in a nice small village which grows extensive date palm plantations. This magnificent 350 years old fortress rises out of the mountain rock, towering high above the ancient village as if still warning would-be attackers of its ominous strength It has witnessed many battles and is packed full of hidden escape routes and secret passages. You can stroll around the inside of this restored fortress and visit all the rooms which have been nicely decorated in the original old style. The view from the top of the fortress over the mountains and green date plantations is outstanding.

3Nakhl
After the fortress, we will drive through the old Village of Nakhal to the hot springs. Here you will find a beautiful small green Wadi. The small river in the Wadi has hot spring water, in which you can bathe your feet in. You will see lots of locals here, who come to have a walk in the warm river water.

4Wakan
Then we drive to Wakan Village. The village is known for its terraced gardens and orchards where pomegranates, apricots, peaches and dates are grown.

5Wadi Bani Awf
Depart from the Hotel after breakfast, we drive to Wadi Bani Awf, Wadi Bani Awf also spelled Wadi Bani Awf, is a large wadi that covers a large area with several villages and lots of cool attractions worth visiting.

6Bilad Sayt
Bilad Sayt is a scenic traditional village in Oman, located in the Al Hajar Mountains. It’s famous for its green terraced farms, mud-brick houses, and dramatic mountain surroundings. The village is remote and usually reached by 4WD through rugged mountain roads, making the journey part of the experience. Then after we drive back to Muscat.
