    Day 1

    Arusha - Tarangire National Park

    Tarangire National Park

    After breakfast, your safari departs between **08:30 and 09:00**. Your private guide from **Joyful Safaris and Tours** will pick you up, and your journey begins in a private 4x4 safari vehicle. Your first destination is **Tarangire National Park**, where you will arrive at your lodge for lunch followed by an exciting afternoon game drive. The park is well known for its large elephant population and iconic baobab trees. During the dry season (June to November), you can expect to see impressive herds of zebra, wildebeest, and Cape buffalo. Other commonly spotted animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik-dik, impala, eland, Grant’s gazelle, vervet monkeys, banded mongoose, and olive baboons. Predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, caracals, and honey badgers also roam the park, making for a thrilling safari experience.

    Lake Manyara National Park/ Game Drive

    Lake Manyara National Park

    After a nice breakfast in the Lodge OR CAMP our drivers will pick you up at 8:30 - 9:00 am with the picnic lunch heading directly to Manyara National Park for an extended game drive. Lake Manyara National Park is known for the flamingos that inhabit the lake. During the wet season they inhabit the edges of the lake in flocks of thousands but they are not so present during the dry season. Leopards, East African lions, cheetahs, elephants, blue monkeys, dik-dik, gazelles, hippopotamus, Masai giraffe, impala, zebras and many more wild animals inhabit this park and many can be seen throughout the year. There is a hippo pond at one end of the park where visitors can get out of their cars and observe from a safe distance. The leopards and lions are both known to lounge in the trees while not hunting for prey.

    Serengeti National Park

    After breakfast, you depart for Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic highland farms of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you leave the highlands behind, you descend into the heart of wild Africa the Serengeti where vast, open plains stretch endlessly to the horizon. You then continue to the central region of the park, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the Serengeti. This area is home to the Seronera River, a vital water source that attracts a wide variety of wildlife, making it an excellent spot for game viewing. You will arrive in time for lunch, followed by an exciting afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park where you’ll have the chance to spot many of the park’s incredible animals.

    Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Area for BIG FIVE

    An early morning coffee, tea and biscuit for refreshment, then proceed with lunch boxes for early morning game drive between 08:00 - 14:30 hours. Then after, we will depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area while enjoying a game drive en route viewing along the way to where you will have dinner and overnight.

    Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha/Airport for drop off

    Ngorongoro Crater

    After an early breakfast and coffee, you will descend more than 600 meters into the crater for an unforgettable wildlife experience. Thanks to its year-round water supply and rich grazing grounds, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to an incredible variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippos, and majestic African elephants. This stunning park is also known for its high concentration of predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which often requires a keen eye to spot. You will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake located in the southwestern part of the crater, where large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can often be seen. Later in the day, you will begin your journey back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel.
