Nestled in the charming Cilento region, this hands-on cooking class invites you to immerse yourself in authentic Italian cuisine.
More than a class — this is a warm invitation into our kitchen, our home, and our way of life.

In the heart of Cilento, on a terrace overlooking the sea, you’ll cook and share a meal just like we do every day: with simple, local ingredients, slow rhythms, and a lot of joy.

Nonna Maria will guide you step by step as you prepare traditional recipes from our region — dishes passed down through generations, inspired by the Mediterranean Diet and full of flavor and memory. You'll knead, chop, stir, taste… and laugh a lot.

At the end of the lesson, we’ll sit down together to enjoy everything you’ve prepared — with best local wine, good company, and the peaceful light of the Cilento countryside.

This is not a formal culinary school. It’s a family kitchen, where food is love, and every dish has a story.

The pickup for travelers will take place either in front of the main entrance of the Agropoli-Castellabate train station or at the port of Agropoli, in front of the Coast Guard office, depending on the schedule and group needs. Please kindly let us know in advance which pickup point you prefer. The exact meeting point will be confirmed prior to the trip.

What to expect

During this authentic experience in the heart of Cilento, you will start with a visit to the local market to select fresh, seasonal ingredients. The class takes place partly on our terrace overlooking the sea and countryside, and partly in our cozy kitchen. Nonna will guide you step by step in preparing traditional dishes inspired by the Mediterranean diet and Cilento cuisine, using local products and Slow Food Presidia. You will learn how to make fresh handmade pasta, prepare simple and flavorful sauces, and discover family recipes passed down through generations. During the class, you will also taste Nonna’s famous zeppole. Nonna Maria speaks only Italian, but Adriana will provide live translation for you. At the end, you will enjoy the dishes you prepared together, accompanied by good wine and friendly conversation in a warm, family atmosphere.
