1Kaymakli Underground City
Kaymaklı Underground City, located in the Kaymaklı district of Nevşehir, is one of the largest underground cities in Cappadocia. Dating back to the 8th century BC, this multi-story structure was first carved by the Phrygians and expanded during the Byzantine period, serving as both defense and shelter. Offering a fully equipped settlement with ventilation shafts, stables, food depots, churches, and living quarters, Kaymaklı extends 20 meters below ground and has eight floors (four of which are open to visitors). This impressive structure, capable of hosting thousands of people simultaneously, is one of the finest examples of Cappadocia's subterranean architecture.

2Pigeon Valley
