    We will stop at a viewpoint of Lake Coatepeque to enjoy a panoramic view of one of El Salvador’s most impressive Volcanic Lakes. You will have time to take pictures, appreciate the scenery and listen to the singing of nature.

    Santa Ana Volcano

    We will take a guided hike to the top of Santa Ana Volcano, the highest volcano in El Salvador. During the tour we will cross forests and volcanic trails while your guide shares information about the place. When you reach the crater, you can admire the stunning turquoise lagoon and enjoy panoramic views of Lake Coatepeque and nearby volcanoes.

    We will visit the center of Santa Ana, where you can admire the impressive architecture of the Cathedral of Santa Ana and the National Theatre of Santa Ana, two of the most emblematic buildings of the city.     Mayan Archaeological Route: Tazumal, San Andrés and Joya de Cerén

    We will explore the archaeological site of Tazumal, one of the most important Mayan complexes in El Salvador. During the visit we will walk among ancient structures and pyramids as your guide explains the history of this civilization and the importance of the site in the region. You will also have time to take pictures and get to know the small museum of the place.

    Parque Arqueologico Cihuatan

    We will visit the San Andrés Archaeological Site, one of the most important Mayan ceremonial centers in El Salvador. We will walk among ancient pyramids and squares where your guide will explain the history of this ancient city and its role in Mayan civilization. We will also visit the site museum, where archaeological pieces found in the area are displayed.

    Joya de Ceren Archaeological Park

    We will visit the Archaeological Park Joya de Cerén, declared World Heritage by UNESCO and known as the “Pompeii of America”. Here you will discover how the ancient peasant Mayans lived before a volcanic eruption covered the village with ash, preserving houses, utensils and growing areas. Our guide will explain the history of the site as we tour the protected structures.

    Day 3 : Trip to the east of the country and camping experience in Spirit of the Mountain

    Arrival at Spirit of the Mountain, located in the heights of Conchagua. Upon arrival, guides will set up camping tents with inflatable mattress. While preparing the camping area, travelers will receive a cultural introduction about the ancestral heritage of the place and its significance in the region. Free time to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the Gulf of Fonseca and prepare for the night experience. In the evening you will enjoy a special moment with privileged views before dinner.
