What to expect

After pick up from the meeting point, we’ll head to the starting trail — a quiet, lesser-used path that quickly leaves the crowds behind. This is my favourite part of the walk, where the landscape opens up and we can truly connect with nature, observing the native plants and coastal ecosystem that thrive here.

As we follow the ridge, the ocean views become more dramatic, with steep cliffs dropping into the Atlantic. We’ll then reach Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, where I’ll share the legend behind this famous landmark and a bit about its historic lighthouse.

Continuing along the coastline, we’ll make our way to Praia da Ursa — one of Lisbon’s most stunning wild beaches. If the sea is calm and conditions allow, you’ll have time for a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters. In afternoon hikes, this spot offers the perfect setting to watch the sun set over the ocean.

We’ll end the experience with a scenic climb back to our starting point, surrounded by breathtaking coastal views. The trail is about 5 km long and moderately challenging, but we’ll keep a comfortable pace so everyone can enjoy both the adventure and the tranquility of this special place.
