Discover the beauty and flavor of Portugal’s Douro Valley on a full-day adventure combining scenic train travel, vineyard visits, a river cruise, and local gastronomy. Begin your journey with a picturesque train ride from Ermesinde Station, sipping a warm coffee and enjoying a Pastel de Nata as the city fades behind you and the rolling vineyards unfold along the Douro River.

After a hearty traditional lunch at a charming adega, continue your journey with a tranquil rabelo boat ride, drifting along the river as terraced vineyards and olive groves reflect in the water.
The day concludes with a scenic return to Porto along the famous N222, stopping at breathtaking viewpoints for photos, a coffee, or a light snack.
Go to the Main entrance, we will wait on Platform 1. Look out for the Jolly Green Tours T-Shirt (Beige/Green T-shirt).
We will drop you off in the city center at Avenida dos Aliados.
Your exclusive small-group Douro adventure begins early with a scenic train departure from Ermesinde Station, where we take off for one of the most scenic rail journeys in Europe. As the carriages glide out of Porto, the city slowly gives way to rolling vineyards and the gentle curves of the Douro River. Sip a warm coffee and enjoy a traditional Pastel de Nata as the morning light unfolds across the valley. Location: Ermesinde Train Station (Rua Rodrigues de Freitas 80, 4445-416 Ermesinde) How to Get There: We recommend using Uber, Bolt, or a local taxi for convenience, typically it takes between 16 to 24 min. Important: Please arrive on time. Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed to join the train, and missed departures are non-refundable.
Step off the train in the heart of the Douro Valley. You will be picked up and driven through winding vineyard roads, where each curve reveals new shades of green and gold.
Our first stop is a small, family-run quinta where the winemaking process is still a labor of love. Walk among the vines, breathe the scent of the soil, and taste wines that never leave the valley. The family themselves often pour the glasses — each sip telling a story of sun, stone, and silence.
Continue along the vineyards to a charming Restaurant for a hearty regional lunch. Enjoy local dishes paired with Douro wines, surrounded by the valley’s calm and beauty.
Board a traditional rabelo boat and drift along the Douro River, once used to transport barrels of wine downstream. Let the water mirror the terraced hills, feel the breeze, and enjoy light snacks or wine as you absorb the tranquility and beauty of the valley.
Travel back via mini van or mini bus to Porto along the world-famous N222 route, celebrated for its breathtaking vineyard terraces, olive groves, and riverside villages. Stop at scenic viewpoints for photos or simply to take in the panoramic landscapes of the Douro Valley. We’ll stop along the way for a coffee & snack break — a chance to stretch your legs, use the restroom, or pick up a local treat before continuing toward the city.
Arrive back in Porto. A day filled with train, river, and wine highlights, all enjoyed in a relaxed, small-group setting, leaves you with unforgettable memories of the Douro Valley.
