Aruban Cooking Class & Craft Cocktail — Award-Winning Restaurant

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English and 1 more

No watching from the sidelines. Apron on, hands in — you cook the whole Aruban meal yourself, then sit down and devour it.
You're not in some tour-company kitchen. You're cooking with USA Today's Top 5 Restaurant in the Caribbean — family-owned, award-winning, the real deal.
A space built for exactly this. Not a cramped corner — a beautiful room made for the pure joy of cooking together.
The menu follows the day's catch and harvest, so it's never a frozen tourist set — it's real Aruba, fresh that morning.
Just your crew, your host, and a craft cocktail you shake yourself. English or Spanish. Relaxed, personal, unforgettable.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

Bon Bini! Come find us at Taste My Aruba, Wilhelminastraat 57, in the heart of old Oranjestad, just steps from the Renaissance and cruise port. Roll in 10 min early, tell the team you're here to cook, and let's make some magic.

End point
This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What to expect

From the moment you arrive at Taste My Aruba in downtown Oranjestad, you're greeted with a warm Bon bini and a welcome sip to set the mood. Your host walks you through the day's menu — built around the freshest local catch and harvest, so no two classes are ever quite the same.
Then it's hands-on. In our dedicated cooking space, you'll put on an apron and get to work alongside your host, learning each dish step by step. You might fold and crimp fresh empanadas, build a fragrant arroz con pollo, or prepare a plate around the day's local fish — real Aruban cooking, the way it's done here, with guidance every step of the way.
Along the way, you'll head to the bar to shake up your own craft cocktail — perhaps our signature soursop martini or a fresh island mojito — and taste as you go.
When everything's cooked and plated, comes the best part: you sit down together and enjoy the full meal you made by hand, paired with your cocktail and great conversation. You'll leave full, a little more connected to the island, and with the recipes to recreate it all at home.
Expect to spend around 3 hours with us — hands-on, relaxed, and unmistakably Aruban.
