We start our journey to Torres del Paine National Park. After 2 hours of travel, we arrive at the Portería Laguna Amarga for registration at CONAF. Then, we head to the Las Torres Reserve Welcome Center, where our guides will perform an induction before starting the Trekking, the most emblematic route in the park and one of the most famous in the world. The trekking, 22 km round trip and medium-high difficulty, takes place in the company of our guides for about 8 hours. The effort is rewarded by arriving at the Mirador Base Torres, from where you can enjoy an unrivalled view of the towers, next to its glacier lagoon. There, we will enjoy our box lunch in front of this stunning natural setting. After a well-deserved rest, we begin the descent through the same, where the vehicle awaits us to move to Camping Pehoé, located in the heart of the park and next to the lake of the same name, famous for its privileged views of the Massif Paine.
We start with a 2 hr ascent (round trip) to the Mirador Condor, near the campsite, with an iconic view of Lake Pehoé and the Massif Paine. Along the way, we can observe native flora, birds and, hopefully, the Andean condor (Vultur gryphus). Then, we head to the Horns Lookout, with a 2 hrs. hike to the shore of Lake Nordenskjöld, where we will get a spectacular view of the Massif. After the box lunch, we take the last trek along the Aonikenk Trail, a biological and archaeological corridor that allows us to observe local fauna and cave paintings. We culminate with a privileged view of the Paine Massif and the Paine River. We finish in Portería Sarmiento, from where we return to Puerto Natales.
