Field trips aren't just for kids! BonnaH Co Fiber Arts is here to help you eperience the sheer joy of a grown-up field trip in the heart of New York City. We've done the research and there's nothing like it! Bonnie and Hannah combine the vibrancy of New York City and the history of the flower factory (we'll get a private tour!) with a relaxed Italian lunch, some shopping, and crafting together where you’ll make your own handsewn tulip bag charm. We provide all supplies and instruction so you can just show up and have fun! Expect a relaxed pace, about 12–14k steps total, with plenty of breaks. This adults-only outing is proof that field trips aren’t just for kids—it’s a day of creativity, discovery, and connection.

Meet us at the clock in the middle of the Main Concourse in Grand Central Terminal. We will be wearing tee shirts with our BonnaH Co logo on them.

1Grand Central Terminal
At 10:15am, we will all gather at the Tiffany Clock in the middle of the historic Main Concourse of Grand Central Terminal. This is a convenient location both for those joining us from outside of and within the city. We will get to know each other over a cup of coffee or tea and a light snack. We'll check out some of the beautiful architecture at the station and then head via subway to our first stop, M&S Schmalberg's famous fabric flower factory.

We will have a private tour of M&S Schmalberg's fabric flower factory. The factory is 100+ year-old and their exquisite, handmade fabric flowers are worn by world-famous celebrities, designers, and influencers.

Before and after lunch, we'll visit some creative supplies shops, including this stop at Pacific Trimming! Pacific Trimming is filled to the brim with beads, buttons, ribbons, zippers, and other crafting goodies! After this, we'll head to lunch at Lazzara's, a hidden NYC Italian eatery.

We'll enjoy a delicious and relaxing lunch at Lazzara's Pizza Cafe, hidden down a narrow hallway. Brick walls, white tablecloths, and lots of charm, this place is perfect for filling our bellies and resting our feet! Cost of lunch and a drink (non-alcoholic) is included!

After lunch, we'll head to another famous NYC crafting store, Mood Fabrics. At Mood, we'll explore three levels of beautiful fabrics for inspiration and fun!

6Bryant Park
We will head to the iconic Bryant Park for the crafting portion of the trip. Bag charms are trending right now! We're going to make our own handsewn tulip bag charms! You'll be amazed at what you can make! From here, you can continue on to explore the city on your own or head back to Grand Central Terminal with us. (Note: if it rains, we will do our project at a public atrium nearby)

7Grand Central Terminal
For those who are returning to Grand Central with us, you'll join us by subway. We'll talk about all the fun we had and how field trips truly aren't just for kids!
