At the center is Mama, a charismatic local legend. She is a true "Yamato Nadeshiko"—a certified Calligraphy Master and practitioner of traditional Japanese dance. But she also has a secret: she spent years exploring the world as a backpacker.

Having traveled the globe, she understands the thrill—and the loneliness—of the road. Even if her English is basic, her "Traveler’s Spirit" is fluent. She excels at breaking the ice and weaving guests into the circle of friendly local regulars.
