1Ait Ben Haddou
Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Marrakech. Travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), enjoying breathtaking panoramic views and traditional Berber villages along the way. Stop to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous fortified village, featured in many Hollywood films and TV series. After lunch, continue through Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” and drive along the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs before reaching the beautiful Dades Valley. 2Merzouga
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorge – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert After breakfast, continue your journey towards the magnificent Todgha Gorge, where towering canyon walls rise up to 300 meters, creating one of Morocco’s most impressive natural landscapes. Enjoy time to walk through the gorge and admire its beauty. Continue through Tinjdad and Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops and date palm oases, before arriving in Merzouga, on the edge of the majestic Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Swap your vehicle for a camel ride (or 4×4 transfer if preferred) and witness an unforgettable sunset over the golden dunes. Arrive at your desert camp where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and an overnight stay beneath the stars. 3Fez
Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes Wake up early to admire a spectacular Sahara sunrise before enjoying breakfast at the camp. Depart Merzouga and travel through Erfoud and the beautiful Ziz Valley, continuing across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Midelt for lunch before heading through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may encounter the famous Barbary macaques. Continue to Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” thanks to its alpine-style architecture and clean streets.
