What to expect

During this tour, we take you to Hermanus, one of the world’s most renowned whale-watching destinations, where you’ll embark on a boat-based whale watching experience led by independent local guides who know these waters intimately. From the vessel, witness Southern Right whales as they surface, breach, and glide nearby, while guides share fascinating insights into their migration and behaviour. After the ocean adventure, guests may choose to enjoy lunch at the Hermanus waterfront, soaking in the coastal atmosphere, or continue directly to Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate for a relaxed wine tasting with lunch at the estate. On the return journey, time permitting, there is an optional stop at Stony Point in Betty’s Bay to view the charming African penguin colony before heading back as the tour comes to an end. This flexible itinerary blends marine wildlife, scenic coastal charm, and refined local flavours into one unforgettable experience.
