Pickup from Kusadasi Cruise Port (approximately 30 minutes). Then enjoy a 35-minute drive to the ancient city of Magnesia, located in the Germencik district of Turkey’s western Aydın province. Known as the “City of Races”, Magnesia was famous in antiquity for its athletic games, gladiatorial fights, and chariot races. The city is home to one of the best-preserved stadiums in Anatolia, which continues to attract visitors from around the world. Magnesia was founded by the ancient Greek tribe of Magnetes from Thessaly and was later called Magnesia on the Meander. Spend about 2 hours exploring this historic site, walking through its impressive ruins and imagining life in this vibrant ancient city.
