The Highland Village Museum. It celebrates the story of Scottish Gaelic settlers in Nova Scotia. It combines history, music, culture, and breathtaking scenery, making it one of Cape Breton’s most memorable attractions. It still has the first ever scottish house made on this land known as the black house. All the staff members dress like in the 17th century to give vast experiences of their culture

    Grand Narrows

    The Grand Narrows Bridge, often called the Barra Strait Bridge, is a fascinating piece of history in Cape Breton. Built with a swing section that pivots open for boats, it stretches about 516 meters (1,693 feet) across the Barra Strait. When it opened in 1891, it proudly held the title of Canada’s longest railway bridge.

    Highland Village

    Iona is a small, scenic community in the heart of Cape Breton Island, perched on a peninsula that juts into the beautiful Bras d’Or Lake. The area offers stunning views of the water and surrounding highlands, making it a peaceful retreat for nature lovers and history enthusiasts. Iona is one of the strongest centers of Scottish Gaelic culture in Nova Scotia.

  • Wentworth Park (Pass by)

    Wentworth Park is Sydney’s oldest park, dating back to 1786. The land was once a swamp, but in the late 1800s it was filled in and turned into the beautiful park you see today. It’s named after William Wentworth, a Canadian statesman. Also called in as the Duckie pond. It has a dome where all the local musicians come and play on every thursday evening.
