ARASHIYAMA SHOOTING TOUR

This special plan allows you to choose two locations from five famous sightseeing spots in the Arashiyama area, enjoy sightseeing in full samurai armor, and take memorable photos. Transportation between locations is by car, so there is no need to walk while wearing the armor.

2. Bamboo Grove
3. Kiyotaki
4. Hiranoya (includes matcha)
5. Hirosawa Pond

* During peak seasons (March–May and October–December), photography in the Bamboo Grove may not be possible. Availability will be decided on the day of the shoot. Thank you for your understanding.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

3-minute walk from JR Saga-Arashiyama Station. Exit the ticket gate and proceed to the South Exit Gate, then walk 3 minutes in a straight line.

What to expect

This is a one-of-a-kind luxury experience where you wear authentic samurai armor crafted by Marutake, Japan’s top armor maker featured in movies and TV dramas. You will visit Arashiyama’s iconic sightseeing spots while a professional photographer captures stunning samurai portraits. All transportation is by car, making the experience very comfortable. Change into armor at the studio, step into the vehicle, and transform into a samurai in Kyoto. Please relax and enjoy this extraordinary experience to the fullest!
