What to expect
You’ll start with a warm welcome of tea or coffee while meeting your local artisan hosts. After a short introduction to traditional pottery and the tools you’ll be using, you’ll prepare the clay yourself and learn why the mineral-rich soil of Morocco has been prized for centuries.
Next, you’ll sit at the wheel—or shape the clay by hand—to create your own unique pieces. With the guidance of skilled artisans, you’ll make up to three items, such as bowls, cups, or even a small tajine. No experience is needed; just bring your creativity!
Between steps, you’ll enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, cultural exchange, and stories about pottery’s role in Moroccan daily life. Finally, you’ll add the finishing touches to your creations. Your handmade pieces will be left to dry, and you’ll be able to take them home as authentic souvenirs of your time in Agadir.
