Discovering the world of alpacas is a unique experience in the historic Educational Farm «Cascina Cassotti Balbo».
During this WALK each participant will lead their alpaca along a path of about two kilometers, between nature and landscapes that unite countryside and city.
The Guide will introduce the history, management and habits of these extraordinary animals, revealing curiosities about their origins and their precious fiber.
Adults and teens will experience direct contact with alpacas, observing their behavior, petting them and sharing moments of authentic connection.
There will be time to TAKE PHOTOS and capture this unforgettable experience. A special opportunity for those who love animals, want to slow down and experience nature a few steps from the heart of Turin.

The meeting point is at Cascina Cassotti Balbo, Strada Castello di Mirafiori 22, Turin. The entrance is located under the green door : there we will be waiting for you and we will accompany you at the beginning of your experience with alpacas.

What to expect

During this experience you will meet the alpacas of your urban farm DA. After a short presentation, you will discover curiosities about their habits and personalities, accompanied DA an expert Guide. Each guest will be able to safely interact with the animal, pet it and observe its behavior. This will be followed by a relaxing walk in the greenery around the Cascina Cassotti Balbo and in the nearby Piedmont Park, with time dedicated to observe, photograph and live an authentic contact with nature. Participants will learn how alpaca, native to the Andes, adapts to the urban context and how the farm integrates sustainability, education and animal welfare.
