Writing Workshop Write a One Page Short Story in Paris

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English and 1 more

No experience needed! This workshop is for anyone who’s ever wanted to tell a story. Whether you’re just starting out or already enjoy writing, I’ll help you get one strong idea down on paper—and hopefully spark your creativity long after.

Short stories don’t have to be long, and I personally love the challenge of crafting a one-page story.

I’ll guide you through a few fun, easy exercises, and by the end, you’ll be able to tell your friends that—just like Hemingway, Baldwin, and Michelle Obama—you wrote in Paris.

What's Included

Coffee and/or Tea
Food and snack aren't included but you'll be able to directly purchase anything you need at the brasserie.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point
129 Rue Caulaincourt

We'll meet in the front of Café Francoeur, a lovely brasserie in the heart of the 18th arrondissement.

End point
This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What to expect

You'll leave this workshop with a short story!
We'll begin with intro and stream of consciousness writing.
Then we'll discuss our character (the driver of any good story).
We'll next chat about setting.
Finally we'll write.
Time and courage permitting, we'll share our stories!

*This tour will last 2-3 hours depending on how many people book and how many people share their work!
