It is hosted by two welcoming Japanses sisters, who inherited the tea house and its traditions from their grandmother. Together, your hosts will offer an intimate, warm introduction to the Japanese tea ceremony (Chado = the Way of Tea) in a heritage setting.
Perfect for beginners, your hosts will guide you through the history, philosophy, and etiquette of the Japanese tea ceremony in an accessible, friendly way. You’ll savor seasonal Japanese sweets, watch a tea-making demonstration. After the demonstration, the experience continues with a freshly made seasonal Japanese lunch.
After the meal, you will try making your own bowl of tea by whisking matcha — taking turns among the group to prepare a bowl of tea for each other and savoring the tea made especially for you.

Meeting point

The location is near Seiseki-Sakuragaoka Station (Keio Line). Please take the Keio Line Limited Express from Shinjuku Station (Platform 3), and meet at the station at 9:45 AM. Upon arrival, exit from the West Exit and turn left. Car and myself in kimono will be waiting for you in front of KFC.
