From 08:00 AM. we will pass with our support vehicle by each of the participants within the downtown area of Puerto Montt
We meet at the monument Sculpture Sitting in front of the sea, on the coast. The guide will be at the memorial with a black beret and a bicycle
will be left to each of the passengers in their hotel as long as it is in the urban area of coyhaique or ends in the square of arms
From 08:30 AM we will pass with our support vehicle by each of the participants within the downtown area of Puerto Montt, then head to Caleta la Arena and cross the estuary Reloncaví by ferry until reaching Calata Puelche. From there we started the first pedals until we reached Hornopirén. Distance: 60 km (Pavement) Total Altimetry : rise 680 – fall 680
During day 2, we will cross for 4 hours by ferry fjords, arrive at Caleta Gonzalo where we will take the bikes and pedal through Pumalín National Park, trekking along the larch paths to reach Cascada Escondida, being one of the most challenging days being a ripio path. Then we will arrive at the town of Santa Barbara, where we will rest and spend our first night at a local campsite. From Santa Barbara we will start the journey passing through Chaiten, Pumalin Park, we will border the beautiful Lake Yelcho, at the end we will reach our place where we will rest. Distance: 79.2 Km (Pavement) Total Altimetry : up 1,100 – down 590
From here we will start the journey towards the town of La Junta, during the road we will be accompanied by the Río Frio until we meet the huge Rio Palena, waters coming from Patagonia Argentina. In La Junta we will arrive at the campsite, where we can rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Distance: 75.8 Km (Pavement) Total Altimetry : up 710 – down 1,180
From the Junta we will head to Puyuhuapi, located in the magical and green Patagonian fjords. On this route we will enjoy the beautiful landscape and Lake Risopatrón. Distance: 44.3 km (Pavement) Total Altimetry : rise 450 – fall 500
After several demanding days, we will pedal only 20 km to enjoy the Queulat Hanging Blizzard National Park, here we will have the option to travel a 2 hour trail or get on a small boat to appreciate the Hanging Blizzard, then rest in the campsite. Distance: 23 km (Pavement) Total Altimetry : rise 420 – fall 310
Once rested, we will start one of the most difficult days of the tour, climb for more than 1000 meters, but with a landscape that falls in love, we will see waterfalls, blizzards, rivers, etc., after this climb we will go down until we reach Villa Amengual, where we will arrive at a campsite where we will rest. Distance: 68.4 km (Pavement) Total Altimetry : rise 1,290 – fall 1090
We will depart early, heading to Villa Mañihuales, cross the Los Palos Lake National Reserve, here will be our first stop of the day to appreciate this beautiful lake, passing through a millennial lenga forest. We will arrive at the picaflower sector, here we will take our support vehicle to go for a small trekking to stone bridge, then return to the route and reach our destination of the day, here we will sleep in a cabin. Distance: 58.4 Km (Pavement) Total Altimetry : rise 5400 – fall 700
We say goodbye from Villa Mañihuales and the pavement to introduce us on the road of ripio, we will cross Villa Ortega, it will be a hard road but the reward will be when it arrives in Coyhaque, here we will have our farewell dinner with a Patagon type roast, we will stop the night and the next day we say goodbye to this beautiful crossing.
