This half-day experience visits welcoming cellar doors and boutique wineries where generations of winemaking families have built a reputation for producing excellent wines. The region’s wine story began in the late 1800s, when Dalmatian immigrants first planted vines in the fertile soils of West Auckland.

Travelling with your own local guide, you’ll visit local vineyards and enjoy cellar-door tastings surrounded by vines and countryside. Along the way you'll step behind the scenes inside a working 5th-generation family winery, offering insight into where grapes from the surrounding vineyards begin their journey from vine to glass.

    Visit one of West Auckland’s historic family wineries, where winemaking has been part of the Soljan family for five generations. During the visit you’ll enjoy a short behind-the-scenes glimpse inside the working winery, offering insight into the winemaking spaces before continuing with a cellar-door wine tasting featuring a selection of the estate’s wines.

    Spend time at one of West Auckland’s boutique vineyard estates, where relaxed cellar-door tastings offer the chance to enjoy local wines surrounded by vines and countryside. Guests are welcome to purchase a light lunch, platter, or additional glass of wine if they wish, making this a perfect place to relax among the vines.
