After meeting with the guide, we will take a taxi to Kinkaku-ji. Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its stunning gold leaf-covered exterior and beautiful surrounding gardens. It is one of Kyoto’s most iconic landmarks and offers a serene and picturesque experience.
We will take a taxi to Nijo Castle. Nijo Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved feudal-era architecture, beautiful gardens, and the famous "nightingale floors" that chirp when walked upon to warn of intruders. It served as the residence of Tokugawa shoguns and is an important cultural landmark in Kyoto.
Nishiki Market is known as “Kyoto’s Kitchen,” famous for its wide variety of fresh local foods, traditional snacks, and unique culinary products. We will take lunch time around this area. If there’s anything you’d like to try, please feel free to ask the guide for recommendations.
We will take a stroll along Teramachi Street. This area is known for its vibrant shopping arcade filled with a mix of traditional shops, trendy boutiques, cafes, and restaurants, offering a unique blend of old and new Kyoto culture.
After our stroll, let’s head to the very popular Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. Fushimi Inari Taisha is famous for its thousands of vibrant red torii gates that form scenic trails up the mountain. It is one of Japan’s most iconic and important Shinto shrines, dedicated to the god of rice and prosperity.
