From Shinjuku, ride the JR Chuo Line Green Car (premium seating) with Samurai Guide Sho, a former train conductor who worked on the JR Chuo Line for 22 years, on a train journey through Western Tokyo’s distinctive craft beer taprooms.
This is not simply a bar-hopping tour. A former JR Chuo Line conductor connects the train ride and visits to carefully selected taprooms into one journey.
Travel by train through the city and enjoy the scenery from the window. Each time you step into a town for a drink, the scenery, atmosphere, and character of the beer change.
On the return ride, you will travel back to Shinjuku by Green Car. If you purchase takeaway beer, you can enjoy it with the view from your comfortable seat.
At each taproom, choosing what to drink and what to eat at your own pace is part of the charm of this journey.

Search “Suica Penguin Square” on Google Maps. Meet just outside the New South Gate of JR Shinjuku Station, next to Busta Shinjuku. Your guide Sho will be dressed in modern samurai attire, making him easy to find.

The tour begins at JR Shinjuku Station. Samurai Guide Sho, a former train conductor who served on this line for 22 years, will guide you smoothly through the station and assist with purchasing Green Car tickets. The journey begins before you even arrive at the first taproom.

After stepping off the train, you will visit a selection of distinctive craft beer taprooms in Western Tokyo.
