Ateshgah (Fire Temple) is one of Azerbaijan’s most iconic historical landmarks, located on the Absheron Peninsula near Baku. Built in the 17th–18th centuries on a site where natural gas flames once burned continuously, it served as a sacred place of worship for Zoroastrians, as well as Hindu and Sikh pilgrims. Today, the temple is a fascinating museum that showcases Azerbaijan’s rich spiritual heritage and its unique connection to the title “Land of Fire.”

2Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center
Heydar Aliyev Center is one of the world’s most iconic examples of contemporary architecture and a symbol of modern Azerbaijan.
