Next, we’ll head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to explore its historic treasures. Visit Bab Chellah, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, one of the majestic Royal Palace gates, and the charming Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the ocean. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your journey.
We’ll continue our journey to the Blue City of Chefchaouen, passing through charming small towns along the way with stops to stretch and enjoy the scenery. Arriving early, you’ll have time to wander through the blue-painted alleys, capture stunning photos, and taste the delicious local cuisine in this magical mountain town.
Spend the morning exploring Chefchaouen at your own pace. Stroll through Outa el Hammam Square, the Kasbah Museum, and the Great Mosque, and admire the shades of blue covering the medina.
After lunch, depart for Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco.
Stop in Ifrane, the “Little Switzerland of Morocco,” and in Azrou Cedar Forest to see the Barbary apes.
A full day dedicated to Fez el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the Royal Palace Gates, Mellah (Jewish Quarter), and Al Karaouine University – founded in 859 AD and recognized as the world’s oldest. Explore Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Museum of Wood Arts, and the Tanneries Chouara. After lunch, stop at the pottery cooperative and enjoy a panoramic view over the medina.

Continue via Ziz Valley and its vast palm groves toward Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara. Arrive before sunset to ride camels across the Erg Chebbi Dunes and spend the night in a Berber desert camp under the stars.

Stop at Rissani, a traditional market town known for its date market and ksar (fortified villages).
Then through Tinejdad and Tinghir to reach the dramatic Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs frame a narrow river canyon.
After lunch, drive through Boumalne Dades to reach your hotel amid dramatic canyon landscapes.
Drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing rose farms in Kalaat M’Gouna (visit a rose-water cooperative).
Continue to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” and stop at Kasbah Taourirt or the Atlas Film Studios (optional).
Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a masterpiece of earthen architecture used in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) in the High Atlas, stopping at an Argan Oil cooperative before arriving in Marrakech.
Discover the red city’s treasures: Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens (created by artist Jacques Majorelle, restored by Yves Saint Laurent). Lunch near Jemaa el-Fna Square, then wander through vibrant souks filled with spices, lamps, and carpets.
Relax or explore independently: Optional activities: Hammam & Spa, cooking class, quad biking, or day trips to Essaouira or Ouzoud Waterfalls.
