1Hakone Ropeway
Travelers will ride the Hakone Ropeway, an aerial cable car offering spectacular views of the volcanic Owakudani Valley, Mount Fuji (on clear days), and Lake Ashi. As the ropeway glides over the steaming volcanic landscape, guests can observe sulfur vents and dramatic mountain scenery. Our guide will explain the history of Hakone’s volcanic activity and the significance of this famous sightseeing route.

2Owaku-dani Valley
Travelers will explore Owakudani Valley, a dramatic volcanic area formed during the last eruption of Mount Hakone about 3,000 years ago. Here, visitors can see active sulfur vents, steaming hot springs, and rugged volcanic terrain up close. Guests will also have the chance to try the famous “black eggs” (kuro-tamago), boiled in the natural hot springs and said to add seven years to your life. On clear days, the valley also offers impressive views of Mount Fuji.
