After arriving at the lighthouse area, you will have time to explore the coastal trail independently and enjoy the scenery at your own pace. Please note that this is not a guided hike. Guests walk the trail on their own, and the amount of walking can be adjusted depending on
Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, rugged coastal cliffs, seabirds, rocky shoreline, and distant views toward the Fortress of Louisbourg.
Trail conditions may vary, especially after rain, and some sections can be wet, uneven, or muddy. Guests may choose to walk only the easier sections of the trail and return whenever they feel comfortable.
