What to expect

Travelers will begin the day with a short drive from Moshi to Materuni village, located in the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. From there, they’ll take a guided hike through scenic banana and coffee farms to reach the impressive Materuni Waterfall, where they can relax, take photos, and even swim in the natural pool (weather permitting).

After the hike, guests will visit a local Chagga family to learn about traditional coffee cultivation and processing. They'll participate in the full coffee-making process—from roasting and grinding to enjoying a fresh cup of organic coffee they helped prepare. Along the way, travellers will hear about Chagga traditions, local farming practices, and daily village life.
