Embark on a sonic journey through the Chapultepec Forest, where Mexico’s history comes to life through its music.
The tour begins at the Fountain of Temperance. A few steps away we will explore the pre-Hispanic period and you can play ancient instruments. Then we will advance to discover the music of the Viceroyalty and Independence. We will admire Chapultepec Castle as we listen to melodies dedicated to Maximilian and learn the waltz beat. We'll close with a surprise piece.

Reach the Chapultepec Forest, through the Flower Gate located on Av Constituyentes and look for the Temperance Fountain that is very close to Los Baños de Moctezuma.

What to expect

In this contest we will enjoy knowing about the music and history of Mexico since pre-Hispanic times, through the viceroyalty, independence, Empire of Maximilian and the Porfiriato. We will make a short walk with designated stops in specific places where we will perform different activities such as knowing and playing some instruments and rhythms typical within Mexican music, listen to music representative of each historical moment and remember the importance of the Chapultepec forest for all Mexicans.
