What to expect

Discover the poetic art of Nuno-KINTSUGI and the symbolic Wish-Knot in this exclusive hands-on workshop at the Hyogo Prefecture European Office in Paris.
This immersive experience connects the Japanese philosophy of Musubi—the creative bond uniting people, time, and materials—with the rebirth of antique fabric through the soft golden-inspired hues.

You will begin with a short introduction to the Wish-Knot, a symbolic knot of connection and gratitude, followed by a guided talk on the spirit of Musubi. This meditative moment leads into Nuno-KINTSUGI, a textile reinterpretation of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold.

Here, the same philosophy is applied to antique kimono fabric. Guided by Japanese artisans, participants revive worn or stained silk fragments with delicate light-reflective accents, transforming flaws into luminous beauty.

You’ll take home a finished A4-size kimono fabric — a personal creation symbolizing renewal and elegance.
