You can participate in the Nebuta Festival, one of Tohoku’s Three Great Festivals, wearing traditional festival costumes.
Choose your favorite costume from several types available, and wear a Hanagasa hat.
No special preparation is needed to join.
We’ll take photos of your costume experience and Haneto experience using your smartphone.
Receive a warm Disposable Heat Pad and a festival-use Japanese fan as gifts.
After your Haneto experience, relax and enjoy a hot drinks.

What to expect

You can participate in the festival wearing the traditional costume of the Nebuta Festival, one of Tohoku’s Three Great Festivals.
At the Nebuta Festival, performers called “Haneto” wear vibrant costumes
and dance energetically, leaping to the rhythm of the festival.
You can experience being a “Haneto,” which is arguably the essence of the Nebuta Festival.
Join the “Midwinter Nebuta Festival” and jump for joy together with the festival performers (Haneto dancers and Hayashi musicians)!

Includes a Japanese Fan, Disposable Heat Pad, and hot drink (coffee, tea, or green tea)
Option: Selling Aomori City's Soul Food “Bōpan”

4:30 PM Gather, kimono dressing
5:00 PM Photo session
5:30 PM Winter Nebuta parade begins
