    Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day exploring the vast Serengeti National Park, often called the "endless plains," which is famous for its dense population of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo). The park is also the stage for the spectacular, seasonal Great Wildebeest Migration. Your morning and late afternoon will be dedicated to game drives, which should begin at dawn to catch predators at their most active. For lunch, you'll take a picnic break at a designated site within the park to maximize your wildlife viewing time. The afternoon drive will focus on spotting elusive animals like leopards and cheetahs, as well as the park's diverse birdlife. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at your public campsite in the Central Serengeti.

A packed lunch will be provided around midday. If you choose, there is an optional activity (at an extra cost) to stop at the Olduvai Gorge, an important anthropological site known as the "Cradle of Mankind." In the late afternoon, you'll ascend to the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where you can take in spectacular views of the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. The highlight of the morning is a thrilling 5-6 hour game drive on the crater floor, a unique natural enclosure famous for its dense population of wildlife and the best place in Tanzania to spot the "Big Five," including the elusive and critically endangered Black Rhino. Around mid-day, you'll take a break to enjoy a picnic lunch right inside the crater, often near a hippo pool.
