    Arusha → Serengeti

    Serengeti National Park

    You’ll be picked up early (typically ~6 a.m.) from your hotel in Arusha. Depart Arusha and drive toward the Serengeti. En route you’ll likely pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop at viewpoints (for example the crater rim view) or even quick cultural stops. For the budget tour, the drive is about 6‐7 hours. Arrive in Serengeti in the early/mid afternoon. You’ll check into your accommodation (camp or lodge, depending on level) and go out for an afternoon game drive in the park. This gives you your first wildlife experience. Overnight in Serengeti (most shared tours will be camping, or budget lodges). Dinner included.

    Full Day in Serengeti → Transfer to Ngorongoro Rim

    Ngorongoro Crater

    Early breakfast in Serengeti. Then enjoy a full‐day of game drives. Many tours will leave early morning to take advantage of wildlife activity in the morning. Some tours split into morning and afternoon drives. After lunch (often a picnic), depart Serengeti and move toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area / crater rim area for the overnight. This allows you to position yourself for the big crater drive the next Overnight near the Ngorongoro rim or within the conservation area (camp or budget lodge).

    Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive → Return to Arusha

    After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor. This is a unique ecosystem — you’ll likely see many animals since the crater acts as a natural enclosure and many species live (or migrate) there After lunch (often a picnic at crater floor or near it), you’ll ascend out of the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving usually late afternoon or early evening.
