This seamless, small-group journey begins with a brief train ride along the shores of Lake Lugano before boarding the star of the tour: the historic Monte Generoso Cogwheel Railway. For over 130 years, this train has been the only way to reach the spectacular 1,704-meter summit in style.
At the top, the views are unrivaled. You’ll stand directly on the border, looking down at the lakes of Lugano and Como on one side, and the distant Alpine snowy peaks on the other. With a limit of 8 guests, you’ll enjoy a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. Your local guide handles all the logistics, leaving you ample time to explore the mountain ridges and enjoy a leisurely lunch at the famous "Fiore di Pietra", the stunning "Stone Flower" building designed by architect Mario Botta.

We start the tour by boarding the train in Lugano and winding along the picturesque shores of the lake, where the deep blue water meets the lush, green slopes of the pre-Alps. This scenic stretch gives you a first-row view of the elegant villas and charming villages that dot the Mediterranean-style coastline.
